Bandon's Cliffs and Beaches

Bandon is an attractive beach town with an attractive wharf-side downtown, just off US 101 about a half-hour south of Coos Bay. But you won't be going there for its downtown, or even its lighthouse. It's the cliffs, the Pacific's finest, rising straight up from the beach, their tops clad in meadows, hoodoos and spires running out into the ocean. There are some nice beach houses along the top as well, but the whole area is as quiet and low-key as a Florida beach — of sixty years ago.
